Boss Fighters QR –
Board Game logo & art
We created the logo, cover illustration, hero character designs, and boss concepts for Boss Fighters QR, a cooperative hybrid board game by Pegasus Spiele. Combining strategic card play with app-powered boss battles, the project allowed us to develop a complete visual identity - from a striking, memorable logo and iconic fantasy heroes to challenging bosses with unique abilities.
The game is brand new and scheduled for release in October 2025.
Cover Illustration
The cover of Boss Fighters QR was designed to immediately stand out from today’s crowded board game shelves. By carefully balancing vibrant colors and strong contrasts, we created an illustration that not only captures the energy of epic boss battles, but also differentiates the game visually from other titles on the market.
Our goal was to convey the dynamic mix of fantasy adventure and app-driven gameplay in a single striking image that draws players in at first glance.
Lineart
Before finalizing the main cover, we explored four different cover concepts to experiment with composition, character placement, and overall visual storytelling. These sketches helped define the direction for the final illustration and ensure the cover would stand out on shelves.

Color Keys
Once the sketches were approved, we created four color keys to explore different palettes, lighting, and moods for the cover. This stage was crucial to find the right balance of vibrancy and contrast, making sure the final cover would capture attention and reflect the dynamic, epic nature of the game.
We created the official Boss Fighters QR logo, ensuring it reflects the game’s dynamic and adventurous spirit. The logo needed to be instantly recognizable, legible at small sizes, and visually cohesive with both the cover and card designs, helping the game stand out on shelves and in marketing materials.
Logo Design
We designed the four main heroes - Troll, Halfling, Dwarf, and Elf - giving each character a unique look, personality, and visual language that reflects their class and playstyle. The designs emphasize clarity, expressiveness, and the heroic fantasy tone of the game.
Note: The final rendering of the heroes and bosses was completed by Bartłomiej Kordowski (as requested by Pegasus).
Heroes
In addition, we created eleven distinct bosses, each with their own appearance, strengths, and attack patterns.
The designs focus on conveying personality, threat level, and tactical behavior, making each encounter visually engaging and memorable.

Boss Designs
After completing the logo, cover, character designs, and bosses, the project culminated in the final Boss Fighters QR board game. Below is a mockup of the finished product, showcasing how the artwork appears in its final printed form.
